August 13, 2012 by JJ 1 Comment

The  ELEV-8 robotic quadcopter is soon to be expandable to six rotors.

The hexcopter  robot kit adds more lifting power to the ELEV-8 quadcopter, doubling the payload  and carrying capacity thanks to an extra battery along with the extra rotors.

It can now hold most cameras, for remote robotic air surveillance and it is also said  to make the ELEV-8 more stable in flight.

The hexacopter was a favourite gadget at the recent defcon hacker conference

The ELEV-8 quadcopter is a flying robotic platform that is lifted and propelled by four fixed rotors. The quadcopter uses a HoverFly board with a Propeller multicore microprocessor to electronically control stabilization of the aircraft.

ELEV-8 quadcopter runs at $599.00

You can also get a ELEV-8 Quadcopter Kit from here

Info : This kit is not for beginners, it takes a moderate amount of mechanical skill, for building and flying. The ELEV-8 quadcopter kit requires an average of 8 hours to assemble; RC experience is highly recommended.
