unable to install – google chrome problems

May 25, 2011 by JJ 13 Comments

Recently i was having some problems with my google chrome starting up , so i decided to uninstall and re-install google chrome. I managed to uninstall google chrome , but then suddenly  it would not let me install the new google chrome  for some reason. Here is the solution i found to this  as suggested by google, if you run into the same problem

Problem installing chrome ( re-installing chrome)

The problem  is not downloading the installer for installing chrome . but actually getting the downloaded google chrome installer to install google chrome

google_chrome install uninstall problem

Error locating installer application

If you’re seeing this error, it’s likely that there was an error locating the installer application on your system. To resolve this issue, please follow these steps:

This fix involves manually modifying your registry. If you’re unfamiliar with this process, we recommend contacting your system administrator or local computer guru for assistance.

  1. Go to Start > Run
  2. In the ‘Run’ window that appears, enter regedit in the text field and click the OK button.
  3. In the ‘Registry Editor’ window, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Google\Update\Clients\.
  4. Right-click the directory ‘{430FD4D0-B729-4F61-AA34-91526481799D}’.
  5. Select Delete from the menu that appears.
  6. Close the ‘Registry Editor’ window.
  7. Try installing the programme again. BINGO !!

Click here if you had trouble downloading.

Having read this I thought it was very enlightening. I appreciate you spending some time
and energy to put this article together. I once again find
myself personally spending a significant amount of

Nice blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A theme like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog jump out.
Please let me know where you got your design.
    Kudos

As its name suggests, the host should cost nothing. In reality, there are many ways to boost your business online –
writing articles, search engine optimization, acquiring incoming links – the list goes
on and on. Many of the companies related to any of the services or products
fool the customers by sometimes providing the expired or outdated products to them or sometimes
providing inappropriate services or sometimes selling the
products at a higher cost and many a times by the hidden terms and conditions.

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is required to get setup? I’m assuming
having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?

I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% sure. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kudos
