How to Save Streaming Videos From Netflix on a PC with Movavi Screen Capture Studio

November 28, 2016 by JJ 1 Comment

In most cases it is really convenient to watch streaming videos on Netflix and all you need to do is fire up the app and choose the show that you want to watch. However if your internet is interrupted for whatever reason that could throw a spanner in the works – and unfortunately Netflix doesn’t give you the option to ‘save’ videos that you know you want to watch either.

The good news is that while Netflix itself may not give you the option to save its videos, you can use Movavi Screen Capture Studio to do so regardless. Since it can be used to record videos directly from your screen, you simply need to set it up to record the Netflix video and then save it when it is done.

If you have never used a screen recorder in the past you might be concerned about how complicated it will be. In that regard Movavi Screen Capture Studio will certainly have you covered, as it is easy to step it up to download Netflix shows:

  1. Launch the software and select the ‘Capture screen’ option in the menu.
  2. Check that the speaker icon has a green checkmark on it so that it will record the system audio, or click it once if it does not.
  3. Click ‘REC’ when you’re ready and it will start recording after 5 seconds so you have ample time to play the Netflix video.
  4. Click ‘Stop’ when the video finishes, and then ‘Save’ to save it.

At times you may be too busy to sit through the recording and stop it when it is done, and if so the timer in Movavi Screen Capture Studio will come in handy. Also you can tweak the frame rate, or choose to capture keyboard and mouse actions – though that probably won’t be necessary when you simply want to save Netflix videos.

In addition to all that, Movavi Screen Capture Studio also includes its very own suite of editing features. Some of these may prove extremely useful, as they will let you cut and join video segments, enhance the video quality, apply special effects and filters, add customizable text, insert audio tracks, and more.

Suffice to say Movavi Screen Capture Studio will let you easily save any Netflix video streams so that you can watch it later – and do much more than that if necessary. Its flexible and powerful features coupled with its simple and intuitive approach makes it a great way to get into screen capture.

Thanks for taking the time for making this tutorial, really appreciated. I always use Acethinker Screen Recorder to capture streaming video from Netflix, It is a free online tool that lets you record screen right from the browser. Share it here as an alternative to Movavi.
