Competition is hotting up for the “Macbook pro”  with the release of the "Dell xps 15z" laptop model and the samsung 9 series slim laptop also recently unveiled.

Dell claims its new slim Laptop pc the XPS 15Z is "one of the thinnest 15-in PCs on the planet" at 24.68mm or 0.97in. At this size it is almost, but not quite, as thin as Apple’s equivalent Macbook Pro, which is 24.1mm thin. Both laptops weigh 2.5kg. Its definitely positioned to rival the “Macbook pro”. The slim dell laptop will be competitively prioced at £899, which is considerably less than the £1,549 price tag of its rival

The “XPS 15Z” has a 15.6in display and a WLED screen with standard HD 1366×768 resolution but you can also opt for a full HD 1080p. Dell said that you’ll get up to 8 hours battery life from the 8 cell battery, which is 1 hour more than Apple claims for the Macbook Pro

The Obama disguised thief robbed a bank in the town of Handenberg in Upper Austria just before the bank closed at 6:00 pm (2230 IST), police said in statement.  A man who robs banks wearing a rubber mask of US President Barack Obama has struck again, Austrian police said today

Police believe this is the same man, disguised by his Obama mask, carrying out such bank raids for the past two years. The robber made off with a amount at 10,000 euros (USD 13,500) as per the daily Kronenzeitung, in its online edition.

So what is WWF ?

A woman who performed a striptease on top of Australia’s giant red rock Uluru on Sunday prompted a renewed call for people to be banned from climbing the important indigenous site, a report said.

But Sery, who is reportedly French-born, said: “After such a hard climb, when you reach the top, the view and the magic of the place gives you an amazing feeling of peace and freedom. You want to sing, dance — and strip.”

Visitors are asked not to climb the rock because of its cultural significance to Aborigines but thousands do each year.

I’m  a avid fan of  music in general  and was pretty pleased to find some of my favorite oldies like “OSIBISA” ( Sunshine Day – OSIBISA) and “Khaled” performing  at the FIFA Soccer world cup  opening ceremony  as well  as one of my favorites R KELLY. Singer and rapper R. Kelly, who enjoys legend status here in South Africa, was joined on stage by the Soweto Spiritual Singers.And just in case you were searching for the results of the first match between south Africa and MEXICO , it was a DRAW

It was a power packed mix of vibrant and infectious music that was played in the opening ceremony FIFA WORLD SOCCER CUP as well as the pre-opening ceremony where “Black Eyed peas” did their thing. The stadium’s design was beautifully replicated in the centre of the pitch with a vast earth-coloured mat accommodating the hour-long display.

Nobel laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu danced in the stands, wrapped in a yellow and green scarf and beanie hat to support the Bafana Bafana national side in their later match against Mexico.
