Can I broadcast myself live on facebook

Yes you can now , Facebook has just started a new feature on their platform where you can just use your smartphone to broadcast yourself live to the world via your facebook account.

Infact it is very much like the popular service – Periscope , which lets you broadcast live video to the world and instantly notify your followers who can join, comment on your live video.

This platform is good to broadcast live events as well and can easily eat into google’s – You tubes market share.

If you’re looking for a stream from a random person you can either choose one from one of the highly ranked clips on the left side of the page, or click on one of the blue dots ont he interactive map from everyone else on the digital globe.

This feature isn’t available to everyone right now.

What is this Facebook live videos?

Live videos are real-time video posts on the Facebook platform. You can use your smart device or smartphone to broadcast live onto Facebook and your followers or family and friends.

You will also get Live videos from public figures you follow and your friends will appear in your News Feed.

How do i do a live broadcast on facebook ?

To start a live broadcast:

Log into the Facebook iOS app or Facebook Android app
Tap at the top of your Timeline, News Feed or Page
Tap
Write an optional description for your broadcast
Tap Go Live to begin your broadcast

When you want to end your broadcast, tap Finish.

Your broadcast can be no longer than 90 minutes. When you end your broadcast, it’ll stay on your Timeline or Page like any other video.

Domain Names Sell for as low as 0.99 cents to $35.6 million just for internet domain name. Google.com which is probably worth millions of dollars got accidentally sold to a buyer last week for a very small fee this week, possibly leaving many google employees redfaced. In fact insurance .com did sell for $35.6million (yep just for the name www.insurance.com) in 2010.

How did google lose google.com domain name for just $12

In one of the weirdest stories I’ve ever read online a guy called Sanmay Ved has detailed how he was able to use Google’s own domain service to buy Google.com for just $12.

Apparently Sanmay was playing around in Google Domains just to see if there was any interesting domains he could buy. He searched google.com and was surprised that it was available. He could not believe his luck and instantly just purchased the domain without thinking about it. He then decided to add it to his cart and check out and realised all he needed to pay was just the small amount of $12 to own one of the most popular names on the internet.

While this story is as unbelievable as it is, like hitting a gold mine, the joy didn’t last for long. The domain was for a short time was actually registered to Sanmay Ved, as it showed in his Google Webmaster Tools with his existing domain and he also received a set of emails from Google accounts, the details of which he hasn’t disclosed.

Surprisingly he did say that that he had not received similar emails for previous domain purchases.

What happened next was expected, Google managed to reverse the transaction and sanmay was refunded the $12 he spent for the domain and the domain name went back to google.

It is said that this obviously could be done easily because google domains owns the registration service, however had another big registrar like godaddy.com ( which sells domains names for currently as low as 0.99 cents ) or Bing.com or yahoo.com had laid their hands on such a nice prize it would have been another story altogether.

The Instagram Purchase – What Does It Really Mean?

The investment of a cool $1 billion from the Facebook bank account was enough to purchase the digital photo-editing app Instagram, in a deal that has led inevitably to some people claiming that Zukerberg and his firm are all cash and no sense. What, in the grand scheme of it, could this purchase mean?

Instagram to grow FACEBOOKS CLOUT

Facebook’s user lists will grow even more. For a network with a usership only slightly smaller than the population of China, it could be argued that the last thing they need is more members. However, with Instagram’s usership listed at over 30 million accounts, more viewers is exactly what Facebook will get. Many users have already speculated that it was actually this which caused Zuckerberg to get his wallet out in the first place.

Instagram Will Change. That 30 million user figure does a hell of a lot to show you that the app got something seriously, seriously right. How, though, will the new purchase change the app? It seems hard to believe that it will have no effect at all, and many users have reacted to the purchase by simply disconnecting from the app. How the changes will be made has yet to become apparent, but we’d be surprised if there were none at all.

Zuckerberg will do anything to remove competition. Whilst Instagram started as a simple photographic app, there is no denying that in the weeks leading up to the sale it was becoming a legitimate social demon. After all, the first day of use by Android users involved a massive one million uploads, making it essentially a very serious social competitor to Facebook. Or at least it was, until the ‘lightning strike’ deal was struck.

Entrepreneurs rejoice. With only thirteen staff, this sale means that the Instagram head honcho Kevin Systrom will stand to make an extra-ordinary $400 million personally, with his co-founder Mike Krieger also pocketing a cool $100 million. The Instagram sale is a proven example of what one good idea can do.

If facebook gets it right , it could immediately pull a big chunk off the email market from its rivals from whom it has already been able to pull internet time off users , by becoming one of the most popular website on the internet.

Internet is buzzing with reports that Facebook is all set to launch its GMail rival next week. According to Techcrunch, Facebook’s secret Project Titan — a Web-based email client is launching on coming Monday alongside personal @facebook.com email addresses for users.

The current Facebook messaging service is not he best and not regarded as a proper email tool by many as apparently it takes a lot of time to delete or manage e-mails.
