Simple tips for driving traffic to your website

December 4, 2019 by admin 8 Comments

seo in sydney melbourne

Building a website was once a difficult thing to do and it usually required the involvement of a genuine expert. But that whole process has been greatly simplified in recent years with the arrival of platforms like WordPress, Wix and other similar template driven, out the box solutions.

They are great products that have made the creation of involved and complicated platforms possible for the average person. What is less easy though is driving traffic to the site once it has been created. Optimizing for search and ensuring that the desired traffic ends up where you want it to can be harder.

Slowly but surely, however, the right strategies for driving traffic are becoming known. So, if you have a website and you are looking to drive more traffic to it, here are some tips to help you along the way.

Find an expert

A lot of doing search engine optimisation and driving traffic can be done by the website owner, but the reality is that it is a specialist field and that from a strategic level it is a good idea to partner with a specialist in SEO Melbourne will have several competing agencies that you can choose between. Work with this partner to develop a strategy. Some of it might involve paid search, which they will probably look to manage, and some of it will fall on your shoulders. Remember to spell out your objective clearly to them and to develop a strategy together.

Quality versus quantity

In terms of driving an audience to your site make sure that you are not focussed solely on big numbers. Having a lot of traffic wins the vanity contest only. It really is not about numbers, instead, it is about what you do with the traffic that you get. In other words, if you run a pet grooming company in Melbourne, the only traffic that is relevant to you is based in Melbourne.

So, if you have thousands of impressions on the site but they are coming from users in New York or London, then it is useless traffic. Local SEO Melbourne focussed strategy is what you need. It is not about carpet bombing it is about finding your niche.

Keep it fresh

Search engines like Google and others love fresh and regularly updated content. And they like original content. There is no value in cutting and pasting content from somebody else’s site onto yours.

You need to generate your own material. Google loves original content and it also pays close attention to when last your site was updated – signs of life are important if you want to receive the volumes of organic traffic that you need.

User experience

Google is all about making recommendations to its users that it thinks will bring the best value and the best experience. So, you need to make sure that your site is properly optimised for mobile and that it has a good load speed.

These are the types of metrics that are looked at before the search engines make their final recommendations.

Making money with PPC Advertising and Blogging

June 14, 2015 by admin 2 Comments

Every day thousands of make money on-line affiliates or website owners ask the same question –

“Why I cant sell anything online?

Do you know why most people fail ?

It is the topic/niche .

Almost every beginner starts in network marketing/make money online  niche and to cut long story short this niche  is overcrowded. Not many know of pay per click (PPC) adverting. To give you stats here, less than 1% of them are interested in how to make money from home.

What Are Bing Ads?

Bing Ads is the advertising platform you use to show ads on the Bing and Yahoo search engines – also referred to as Yahoo Bing Network. You also have the ability for your ads to show on their syndicated partners such as Facebook, Amazon, Monster, WebMD, CNBC, and Viacom. They are the direct competitor to Google adwords and PPC. Bing ads is normally cheaper to run than google as they are rated No#2 search engine  and get cheaper clicks for advertising

PPC GAME WITH  CLICKBANK

You can make money with your website and clickbank by using the relevant search terms in your ppc campaigns and advertisements. Here is how-

Go find buying keywords using the Google keyword tool.

Type in keywords like where to buy {item}, where to purchase {item}, buying {item} (get creative) and take the results and research them again until you find more buying keywords that you didn’t find before.

If you do this multiple times you will find a lot of purchase keywords that people are entering in google to find a specific item.

They might not get a lot of traffic but typically people who type in these keywords into the search engines  have their wallet in hand. Use these buying terms in your PPC ADS, I did this for a acai berry product and had some good success.

Hot targeted Marketing with PPC & CLICKBANK

If you are spending money on PPC, use every bit of it (dont waste it).You should be pushing these people(traffic) to an opt-in page for an email list. That way you can significantly seo Vs ppc and ppc marketingincrease the chances of converting them later on  through your email campaigns /Newsletters and this will reduce some of your expenses.

Free resources are great like SEO organic traffic . However Using  PPC even for at least for a short period of time, you can find out the best converting keywords. Then you can take those keywords, build optimized pages, and promote them via SEO to get high search engine rankings and make money. This way you can make money both with SEO organic traffic and paid traffic at the same time.

How do you make money with PPC such as Bing OR Google Adwords?

Bing advertises your webpage and every time someone clicks it you must pay Google. You pay anywhere from 0.2 cents  to 0.30 or even more for a click on your ad. People who are interested in your ad will only click, so it is targeted traffic.Conversion depends on how good your ad  and content on that page is. You will need to do the maths to get  good returns and profit from PPC, but you can just get lucky if the niche is not too competitive

Promoting Affiliate Products (pay per click internet marketing method :-

If you want to promote an affiliate product and expect higher level of purchase, you can choose a particular item from sites like Commission Junction or ClickBank. Try to select a high selling item from the site’s list. After this you can create a pay per click ad for the affiliate product which will send traffic to the site. This can be an excellent step to get as much traffic for their product.

Sometimes PPC seems to work much better with physical items than digital downloads. If you manage to get regular sales with PPC  and make a profit then its gold, as you will have a regular  income on auto pilot. You can always refine your PPC strategy  to get more out of it and increase your income, by learning more on how to improve your PPC skills.

3 Adwords Mistakes Every Advertiser Makes

August 3, 2013 by admin 2 Comments

Adwords. A double-edged “advertising software” opening doors and frustrating DIY marketers with its endless updates, changes and idiosyncrasies. Business owners frequently abandon self-started online ventures for a myriad of reasons; time doesn’t run freely, and the attention Adwords demands from would-be success stories seems like an entire department in itself. The failure to run a thriving campaign is not a short-coming of the system, but a disconnect between business owners who underestimate nimble subtleties of Google’s answer to old-school billboards.

How do you avoid falling into these same traps, as you traverse the shady world of “pay-per-click”, display and re-marketing? Learn from the following three mistakes, save a bucket load of stress and increase ROI.

google adwords quality score

Know Your Competition

Advertisers commonly rely on an underwhelming WOW factor or quick gimmicks to attract online customers. It’s easier to incentivise than run an on-going analysis of your competitors and while it isn’t politically correct to refer to your competitors as your enemy, the philosophies of Sun Tzu are relevant outside the lecture theatre. Draw up a database of top performing text ads refined to your top five keywords – what commonalities are leading them to trump you and replace your business in the 1,2,3 stakes? Don’t plagiarise, but draw inspiration from their tactics. Remember, landing pages form an integral part of a good formula. Keep it relevant.

Are You Irrelevant?

Click through rate; the bread and butter of the Adwords campaign and the most basic measure of relevancy health. A high CTR is symptomatic of a well targeted text ad; if your numbers are floundering, you need to review the conversation you’re trying to have with potential customers or clients. Make sure your ad includes top performing keywords within your niche, land visitors on targeted pages and don’t drown the ad in too many keywords – after all, you want to seduce audiences, not chase them away with money-grabbing.

The Mysteries of Ad-Writing

You’ll see a variety of styles and phraseologies on the internet, bribing, targeting or presenting as oblivious – a kind of just-the-facts gimmick that works for some verticals. Striking a balance between fresh, brief content and tried best practices to appease Google is fraught with difficulties. Again, your competitors serve as a reasonable indication as to what works and what doesn’t in a specific area of your vertical. Integrate the best ideas into a reviewed strategy and don’t forget to include a call to action beyond the typical Call Now. Instead, feature cheap or free shipping rates, a company guarantee or a specialist success rate. The goal of ad text is to draw people in and convert their interest into possible sales or contracts.

Of course, these are common mistakes of every advertiser. If you fail, accept that failure and move past those expectations; instead of shutting down your Adwords account, review current campaign setup and be honest about the conversion DNA of keywords, text ads, landing pages and site information. A little soul-searching will reveal a way forward or at least a route past your previous obstacles.

What Google’s been upto in seo ?

February 17, 2013 by admin Leave a Comment

I was surfing this website this week and was quite surprised to  see that this bread crumb link  , i clicked on  was actually an advertisement  by Google. I innocently though it was a that websites link to another internal page  and was quite pissed off to think someone fooled me  so easily  and then realised it “Google new breadcrumb link ads” “Wow”. Can they do that ? they can i suppose if its on a website !!

Google’s new Breadcrumb Link Advertisements

Well  the phrase “ can they do that” certainly rang true  earlier in the day, when i took  my daily trip back home  and saw  that girl next to me  gimme that “can he do that” look on the bus . what i w as doing was – happilyguzman gomez perth asian swiping my newly acquired  “Guzman gomez discount   card”  on the bus swiping thingy (instead of my transport bus swipe card)  with the girl behind me  probably muttering this guy must be nuts or he’s expecting a burrito to come out now ..lol. I soon realised my mistake grinned , apologised   and carried on red face out of the bus.

Well the answer to Google’s question  anyway is “yes we can” ( just like bob the builder – google can show us this ads  bread crumbs or arrows ) so here is a screen shot below of the bread crumb links ads ( and yes i like Indian tandoori chicken)

google new bread crumb links ads

Looks like webpro news already knew about this coming  to us . read here….

New arrow ads by google

Another “google ad” that has been appearing recently  as also noticed by pat flyn on his blog here  is “the  new arrow ads by google”

Adsense Arrow

Image from patflyn.com

These recent Adsense ads now display an arrow next to the ad and it almost looks like a nice little arrow button ready  and primed to be clicked in the direction that it is suggesting ( out of my/your site).

I know i haven’t  published much on SEO for a while now so i hope you like this post on something related to seo  as i have promised to publish about SEO  on my about page

September 12, 2012 by admin Leave a Comment

Many of SEO’s and Businesses  use Google  location targeting to show your ads in specific geographic locations such as countries, regions, and cities to more precisely reach your potential customers.

Google is now  introducing new geographical targeting  advertising options and tweaking the options  to get more targeted advertising within AdWords and has also released postal code targeting for Canada.

google adwords location targeting options for your country

More here

With this new introduction to location targeting AdWords offers location targeting at the postal code, city, metro, or the region level, although targeting at certain levels isn’t available in some countries.

Australia misses out on postal code and DMA Adwords Location targeting

Though Australia missed out on the postal code targeting, as you can see in the pic above,  Australia has location targeting by city and region, which is still good because if you are advertising a local business that is not online only for Sydney  then they can target only the Sydney city, and if a company is seeking local customers from the whole of WA region  they can target only the WA region in their ad words campaign

Canada has got more specific option for targeted advertising with Google introducing the ability to target by Canadian Postal Code FSAs(Forward Sortation Area), the first three digits of the postal code, which correspond to a certain geographic area.

AdWords will now have city and regional targeting capabilities in 9 new countries.

Areas where Google Adwords City and regional targeting is in effect now

Belgium (city)

Taiwan (city)

Vietnam (city)

Bulgaria (region & city)

Denmark (city)

India (city)

Ireland (city)

Romania (region & city)

Sweden (region & city)
