by 13 Comments

Recently i was having some problems with my google chrome starting up , so i decided to uninstall and re-install google chrome. I managed to uninstall google chrome , but then suddenly  it would not let me install the new google chrome  for some reason. Here is the solution i found to this  as suggested by google, if you run into the same problem

Problem installing chrome ( re-installing chrome)

The problem  is not downloading the installer for installing chrome . but actually getting the downloaded google chrome installer to install google chrome

Drop in google adsense earnings Nov Dec 2010

by Leave a Comment

Have you noticed a recent drop in Google adsense earnings. I have too.. i decided to  use google’s own tool to investigate this issue ( Google UK Search). I information derived from the internet is pointing out  towards the  issue with blogs / websites not publishing the privacy policy that Google needs on all ad sense publishers blogs.

Drop in earnings ( google adsense) without warnings

As Google have changed the Terms and Conditions of their Adsense program, one of the requirements now is that all Adsense publishers should have a "Privacy Policy" on their websites. Below is the exact wording that has been added to the Terms and Conditions for Adsense publishers.

Drop in adsense earnings google-adsense

"You must have and abide by an appropriate privacy policy that clearly discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your user’s browser, or using web beacons to collect information, in the course of ads being served on your website. Your privacy policy should also include information about user options for cookie management."

There was another Google adsense Privacy policy Update on  23 March 2009

We have now updated the Google Adsense Privacy Policy Generator to include a mention about the DoubleClick DART cookie, which is now required by Google to be included in your privacy policy. You can read more about the DoubleClick DART Cookie on the following link …https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=100557&sourceid=aso

Here are two links that might help you make your own Privacy policy for your blog / website

which is not a web browser ?

by Leave a Comment

Pick which is not a web browser from the ones below ?

1. Firefox

2. Internet Explorer

2. Facebook

4.Google Chrome

Obliviously  you would not have picked “Google Chrome”  if you are a bit tech savvy ( because the answer is  facebook), but this contestant  from “who wants to be a millionaire “ in INDIA had to take an audience vote  to pick “Facebook”.

Chrome the “Google Web browser” stars in “who wants to be a millionaire”

Who wants to be a millionaire   in India  is hosted by “India’s Most popular Bollywood star Amitabh Bachan” and Amitabh Bachan  in this show  was endorsing  the “Google Chrome Browser” on national television saying it is a very nice and fast browser that he likes.

Here is the You tube Video of this show where  the question was asked , Google India must be pleased to get this free (maybe) endorsement   on national television  on one of the more popular rated television shows in India.

Google has recently also published big  print advertisements in India promoting  the Google chrome Browser. Her is one of the ads that appear in the Indian newspapers
