How to start a online ecommerce store business with dropshipping and shopify

July 30, 2019 by admin 13 Comments

If you are looking to make money online via blogging or  ecommerce stores in Australia, then this tutorial with shopify for creating your online shop will help you get started in 2020.

It involves making an eCommerce online store and selling stuff/products on the internet from other merchants and making a commission (this is called drop shipping) as opposed  to  making money with affiliate commissions via links on your blog.

Creating your australia online store

I have researched online shops and selling quite extensively before starting my first online store and there are many ways you can do this, but using Shopify and Ali express seems to be the easiest way to getting started with your own online internet shop.

You can even give it a go by trying it for free today with the free trial offer listed here.

#

The shopify online shop setup Guide

This has worked for many newcomers and also internet marketers in the eCommerce niche because it’s easy to set up and requires minimal effort.

These two platforms are one of the best platforms for this method and is the most easy to use internet-shop building software available today.

If you are just looking to build an income, by just starting a website or your own blog then you can read my this post over here, but if you are serious about making some  money on the side selling stuff on the internet then read on.

I can most certainly vouch for the getting started process  given below as I myself have just started a shopify ecommerce drop-shipping shop and got  sales going on my brand new shop. I’m not yet there,  like some of the other gurus/wizkids who do up to  a incredible $50k  a month and possibly wont be there for a while, but hope to make some spare change in the meanwhile.

I do know a few people who make that kind of money(10k to 50k turnover  a month) doing this featured online-selling method.

Some of the tips, in this detailed guide has been provided to me by my experienced marketer friend who is making up to $10,000+ a month. He is using aliexpress and shopify for his stores with this drop-shipping method  for selling stuff online.

 Earn with dropshipping

So what is this dropshipping – Drop-shipping is the process where you buy from a wholesaler online and resell it online to another buyer and make a commission in between.

This can be done by you selling a product collecting money  for it  from the buyer – then purchasing the same product from a  wholesaler and providing  the buyer address (from your shop) for the wholesaler  to ship the product to that client. This is called dropshipping as you physically dont have to store any products  or ship any products to your customer but just get all this arranged between the buyer and wholesaler
Drop shipping VS selling your own product !

Normal selling as opposed to  dropshipping involves  selling your own product , keeping inventory of your products , handling all shipping, packing ,tracking etc until  the product reaches your  customer/client.  You will also need space to store your products that you are selling. This  does involve a lot more work and money.

drop shipping 2017

Many punters start with dropshipping because it is easy to start  with and if you start getting sales – it is quite easy to scale up to $10k to $25 K a month easily if you become good at it and learn all the ropes  – and this has become a full time income to many successful people.

This is a new  growing trend  in the online world and so is not saturated yet , so if you get in fast  you can still make money.

I  will provide you some screenshots of how I started my store along with the essential tips my experienced buddy gave me to promote and scale the shop and online bizness.

 Free trial offers Ecommerce

There is two things you definitely need to start an online store with dropshipping

1. You need a Shopify account

2. An Aliexpress account

Shopify for newbies (in short) – Its a ecommerce platform that allows you to build your online store and sell stuff online in a few clicks  – Its that easy.

Get your aliexpress account  here – Free registration

Get the – Free 15 day trial  for shopify stores to test it out

I suggest using this 15 day trial if your a beginner, however in my humble opinion it would take at least a  month or two to start getting some real traction with sales-So its best really if your have atleast 2 months fees to start with  to trail this service, but this is upto you entirely to make that call.

What’s aliexpress for newbies – Aliexpress is   one of the biggest  china wholesale website  that sells everything from gadgets , garments  clothes,  consumer products ,electronics , jewellery and many more. With  drop shipping you can easily buy from Ali express and sell on shopify making a commission. To register with  aliexpress is free – Register here

This trend of creating your online shop and making money has just recently caught on, and many people have become full-time online entrepreneurs with this new hot trend.

Unfortunately all good things do not last very long and trends and new ventures get saturated  quickly – and so if you want to get in – NOW is the time.

How to start your own store

How to get your store online?

diferrent kind of stores online 2017
Well the reason so many people are starting ecommerce online shops is that shopify has made it  so easy to set up a store in minutes.
It doesn’t matter if you got  your own products to sell, selling someone else’s products for a commission, or you are selling digital products – you can do this by getting a shopify account.

Here is a quick step by step process to get you started with your new online  shop with shopify

1. Sign up for the free trial here  ( they will ask you for your email )

2.They will send you login info for your online shop  and you need to pick  an appropriate plan for your shop ( recommended one is  $29 for beginners- though if you can afford more go for $79 a month)

pick a plan 1

I chose the $29 plan as you can see

Then you  choose a name for your store and  click publish and its done , you will see the welcome screen like below

welcome screen shopify 2 shop small

Now you can  add products to your store manually by  clicking on the products  link as shown above and adding prices and pics and descriptions (its that easy  and you can start selling in minutes). Here is a look at the front end and back end of a shopify store.

If you are going to do dropshipping than you can pay like an extra $4.99 a month  and get oberlo app add on – which makes it really easy  to add products and pics description automatically from aliexpress with one click ( Aliexpress is china’s biggest wholesaler that sells stuff cheap online and many new online store entrepreneurs use this website to do  dropshipping selling stuff on their online store).

To make a profit , you will need  to mark up the product prices you import into your website with oberlo and then sell.

If you dont want to spend the extra money  on oberlo, then you can do the adding products manually as well.

I would suggest adding atleast  20 products  to your store  as a start to get some variety in your store  and setting up the structure and important pages ( privacy policy , about us , contact us pages, social media buttons +pages etc)

change to a proper domain name from godaddy

I would suggest though that you get a good domain name  for your shop from godaddy  (they got a current 30% off deal for au users- get it here ) eg. www.myrabbitgear.com, rather than the  free shopify domain name that you get  with  your  shop account.  eg. rabbitgear32.shopify.com as a proper name with .com looks more professional.

You can do this by  buying a relevant domain name from godaddy and then  getting it to point  to your online shop by following instructions from the domains area in your online shop  or then  contacting godaddy support and getting them to help you out doing that.

Improving your online store look

By default  there are many free themes  you can use on shopify once you sign up for an account.

A theme is basically what changes the look of your shop and you can choose any free theme to change the look of your shop.

Shopify has some decent  free shop themes .Another way of making your shop more attractive is  to get a nice paid theme  for your store that will make it look better than the rest,  but the free provided themes have some great ones  too if you are on a budget.

They are  shopify them providers from outside of shopify as  well if you want o shop for a great cheap theme outside of shopify.

The best way to promote your new shop  is to  start a facebook page for your shop and then integrate it with  facebook to show new products launched , it will look something like this  once integrated

the 007 shop small

They also make it seamless to advertise with Facebook advertising and ads  for your online-shop.

#

 Why choose shopify

Why shopify as a ecommerce platform?

People who are more into coding and programmers prefer magento ecommerce software, but most people prefer  shopify  for these reasons(my reasons)

  • Easy to use and set up
  • Amazing free themes (don’t pay)
  • Set up online shop in minutes
  • Can start making money quickly due to  easy integration with facebook and facebook ads
  • Case studies & success stories from people who started shops provided
  • Regular tips and tutorial posts from shopify newsletters
  • Easy for Promoting  your store and getting sales
  • Free 14 day Trial offer to test it out for free

#

 Promotion Methods

Once you have your store online, you will need to promote it to make sales.  Facebook , instagram  are good platforms to get sales for your shop with advertising on Facebook and Instagram  sponsored shout outs.

Google Adwords, Bing advertising , linked in and Pinterest advertising are other advertising options you could try depending on your niche.

Health products normally do well with Instagram promotion.  With Facebook advertising – if you target your niche properly it can do wonders.

You can s start making money with this method just by getting the monthly plan and Facebook advertising- but there is  many  add-ons that can still help you get more sales.

They are some paid ones which I will list below.

  • Oberlo – adding products seamlessly to your onlinestore (available via shopify portal)
  • Coin – Changing currency from AUD to USD and other curencies
  • Scarcity – Showing urgency with count down timer etc

Get your free Oberlo trail here – Free Oberlo trial

Oberlo features and Pricing:

FREE Starter Plan is for those who are just starting out. It has all the main features and will perfectly suit you until you reach 50 orders/month.

Basic Plan ($29.90/mo) is for those who receive up to 500 orders/mo. It has shipment tracking and orders monitoring features.

Pro Plan ($79.90/mo) has all the features you need to scale your business. Unlimited orders number multiple users and sales channels.

WordPress + Ali affiliate

If you do decide wot work with wordpress instead of  shopify then this WP plugin below might help you

Aliexpress Affiliate Plugin

Aliplugin Allows You To Add Thousands Of Aliexpress Products To WordPress Website Quickly And Easily. The Plugin Will Put Your Affiliate Id In All Links Back To Aliexpress, So You Get Commission For All Sales Referred To Aliexpress.com. Get it here

You can also join  a Facebook group for support  to get tips and ideas and guidance.  if your in the online store niche with shopify in this facebook group – https://www.facebook.com/groups/211798732549122/ (Murray Edwards Mastermind). I am also a member of this group

Shopcred launches in Australia as the online shopping rewards market heats up

June 7, 2018 by admin 1 Comment

A new player Shopcred , has entered the Australian cashback market only a month after the launch of Asian behemoth Shopback.

Shopcred-launches

Positioning itself as a shopping community, Shopcred is helping bargain hunters and stores connect through the use of new technology that enables their community to earn rewards in a range of innovative ways.

These new technologies include rewards for sharing and posting deals, getting upvoted deals, along with cashback, promo codes and deals for over 800 online stores including Australia’s favourite retailers like Catch, Uniqlo, Cotton On, Virgin Australia, Menulog, ASOS and Bonds.

With these innovative ways to earn rewards, Shopcred are hoping to differentiate themselves from local competitors Pricepal, Shopback and Cashrewards who have recently raised funding
Shopback made news last year when they raised $32 million in a funding round including backing
from Blue Sky Alternative Investments.

Australian based competitor Cashrewards also just completed an external funding round that yielded a $5.25 million investment from Partners For Growth.

Shopcred have seen the rise of influencers and are working with Aussie retailers to reach the ever-growing influencer audience. In return, influencers and customers can receive cashback for their purchases and rewards for their interactions, such as sharing with their followers on Facebook or posting found deals on the Shopcred website.

“Our unique technologies help retailers reach new influencer audiences and encourage the community to share and engage with retailer brands and products” explained Glenn Harvey, one of two co-founder of Shopcred.

Across Australia, loyalty program sign-ups have increased significantly as retailers see the ongoing benefits of rewarding customers for their loyalty. Deal and cashback sites like Shopcred reward customers with discounts and cashback to as much as 50% off. Particular retailers, such as telco and insurance providers, can offer one-off cashback bonuses of as much as $50 for signing up on long-term plans.

With Australians spending $21.3 billion yearly online and the arrival of same day postage, Aussie’s are heading online for the best bargains and rejecting physical stores of the past. Consumers are realising they can get a better deal with the use of promo codes and now cashback that are released regularly by the online retailers.

Throughout the past 5 years, deal sites like Ozbargain have recorded a significant increase in members, as have promo code websites like RetailMeNot and overseas cashback sites like Ebates.

Australia isn’t the only place that has taken a liking to cashback deals. Recently, Samsung announced that their mobile wallet, Samsung Pay, will allow users to get cashback when they regularly spending with their wallet. They’ve partnered up with stores including eBay and Walmart where users can earn about 5% cash back when paying with the wallet. This cashback can then be can be used the next time they pay with their Samsung Pay wallet.

Another big player, Citi, are giving their customers 2 percent cash back on all purchases, 1 percent when you shop and 1 percent when you pay your bill. Customers won’t be restricted as they are with other reward programs where users need to make purchases at affiliated retailers.

With online spending increasing by 18.6% since 2016, the future looks bright for Shopcred. “Over the next few months, we’ll be onboarding many more retailers that impact the everyday spending of Australians” an excited Harvey told Digital Grog.

“We’re working hard on creating unique ways to reward our members. This and gaining a better understanding of their shopping preferences will be where our next investment will be”

Mobile users are also in their crosshairs with the imminent release of a rewards app. “The rewards app will make for a smooth deal finding and earning cashback experience for our mobile users. In Australia, it’s definitely an emerging space that is underutilised in the deal and rewards community.”

Cashback through Shopcred can be obtained at over 700 stores, here’s some of the top Aussie stores we’ve picked:

ASOS
Cheap and high end fashion, ASOS stock over 70,000 branded products from around the world. Next day delivery is available on a huge range of products.

Menulog
Menulog offer a huge variety of food across Australia at over 8000 restaurants. Menulog also offer a loyalty program and exclusive discounts to get repeat customers.

Catch
Catch pretty much sell everything! They currently have over 13,000 branded products from a huge range of categories including clothing, electronics, books, beauty products and even mobile plans.

Uniqlo
Japanese fashion retailer UNIQLO provide hundreds of basics in a range of colours. Their stock includes tees, jackets, hoodies, tops, jeans and pants.

Booktopia

Booktopia sell a huge range of books, ebooks, magazine and stationery items. With a warehouse in Sydney, holding more than 500,000 books, Booktopia are able to ship within 48 hours to Metro areas.

building a online store and brand with ecommerce in 2016

Create Ecommerce Store  (no credit card required) – Start a 14 Day Free Trial Now‎

Many people still think that building an online shop involves a lot of technical wizardry and skills that would be required when it is exactly the opposite today.  Big software vendors ( Shopify and big commerce) have made it so easy that anyone can just sign up and build an online store within an hour or less and start selling.

“Big commerce” is an Australia, Sydney-based software start-up company that provides end to end services to start your eCommerce online store. It started up as a startup not too long ago and is now a well-established portal for building online store-front websites. The Shopify solution caters to the beginner entrepreneur as well as the established million dollars a day shops.

Bigcommerce powers over 95,000 online shops and have processed over $5 billion in transactions and that is no easy task. Its even got its top competitors like “Shopify” “Volusion” “3Dcart” worried. They have a good collection of store design add-ons and also provide website store examples to give you an idea of how your store can look. But Shopify is fast catching up with its ease of use and perfectly priced plans.

Bigcommerce was founded by BRW Young Rich Listers Eddie Machaalani and Mitchell Harper. Their customer’s list boasts some top companies like Samsung, Marvel, Cetaphil and Ubisoft yet they have affordable plans for smaller eCommerce stores. Below is our review on BC focusing on what’s important to you.

Building an online business store is no easy task and trust me I have gone through this well and truly a few times to know how hard it can be. There is more involved in starting an e-commerce store than it is for just starting a  blog or website, however software companies like Big Commerce and Shopify have made this task much easier with their custom software and help given in the form of written guides and video guides to set everything up.

There are plenty of reviews online, but I have my own unique viewpoints of why Bigcommerce and Shopify is an e-commerce store builder that you should consider trying out if you are really serious about creating your own online store.

Right now with both of them upping their game – if its ease of use and an all in one solution your after – I would recommend Shopify if your starting small and intend to grow big, but if you need a big solution for a big online shop then its “big” commerce. If your just looking to start a website as a blog or for your small business then these hosts are not for you as they are online shop  specific, you can check out my other 2019 webhosts listing over here  for starting a blog/website.

Cheap E-commerce Solution: Woo Commerce + WordPress Blog

Now before we go any further, I need to say that if you really are on a low budget and just want to test things out then this other option here might suit you. It includes setting up a wordpress blog and using a free payment and online shop plugin called woo commerce. This method is a bit more involved than using Shopify which is custom based shop software that works out of the box.

wordpress and woocommerceWith this method – you can get a wordpress blog for  ($3.95 a month) and add a woo commerce plugin (free) to get started quickly with your e-commerce shop /website/or blog.

This set up will allow you to run a blog store front on wordpress and sell products and accept payments via paypal through the woo-commerce plugin. You might want a spend a bit of extra money ($20 to $60) though to get a decent storefront wordpress design ( I recommend elegant themes for his ) to help attract traffic and build trust with a good-looking storefront design for your store.

What is this WooCommerce Plugin ?

WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin that lets you turn your WordPress site into a full-featured online store. It gives you an easy way to handle inventory, payments, shipping, and more.

It gives you reports on customers and products and it works with practically any theme and doesn’t get in the way of your website. It can be easily integrated into an existing site as well.

The difference between this above cheap method and a proper eCommerce platform are many.

In an e-commerce platform, you will be able to manage everything – all in one place like store management, inventory management, shopping cart systems, social networking, blogging, SEO, security, ease of use and expandability. Costs play a big role in this decision. – but with wordpress and woo commerce – the connection between listing and payments are not as seamless and needs some tech knowledge or willingness to test and learn.

The good thing however with woo commerce is that Paypal tells you whenever you receive a payment with this method implemented so you can follow up with the delivery of product etc once you receive notification via woocommerce, so it’s not that hard after all.

Feel free to choose whichever platform you are comfortable with but let’s get on with the custom-made online shop builders – big commerce platform & Shopify

Pros and Cons of Using Bigcommerce for your online store

Let’s start with the features that big commerce offers because every person needs to know what they are getting when they sign up for an online store solution.

Features:

Pros

Integrated Education – As I said earlier their big university video tutorials are a great help on setting things up and teaching you all about this stuff

All in one platform – They have integrated pretty much everything together, so if you want reviews, an easy way to add & delete products, inventory management, integrated payments, analytics, order management, coupon code creation, discount functionality, easy shipping integration, etc., It’s all in one place. They have other marketing buttons like sell on Facebook, Google trusted sites which you can integrate into their dashboard.

In- Built Marketing Features – once you have logged into their admin panel and click on the marketing tab, you will find features like email marketing (keeping in touch with customers and promoting products)

Speed & Security for your store – You don’t need to worry about your store being online all the time ( they got a 99.95 % Uptime guarantee), as they ensure that your store is speedy to load and also secure from online threats.

Cons:

Design – While Big commerce can still work out of the box, you would probably need to get a designer to make it look top end. Their design functionality is basic but good enough to get started.T heir platform is easy enough for an outside designer to make you a custom good design for your shop with their platform.

Pricing plans for Big commerce

The 2nd most important thing you need to know is pricing for the ecommerce plans they have. You might argue, that in fact this is the most important point and I would still agree.

BIGCOMMERCE PRICING

Initially, Bigcommerce offered quite a few different pricing plans with different options, but they have refined it over the years and whittled it down to just three plans:

    • Bigcommerce Standard: $29.95 per month (Get it now)
    • Bigcommerce Plus: $79.95 per month
    • Bigcommerce Enterprise: pricing varies, depending on your business requirements

The ‘standard’ and ‘plus’ plans are aimed at individuals and small businesses. The more advanced Enterprise plan is geared more towards large businesses and corporates (users with very high bandwidth & advanced functionality requirements).

About the Popular standard plan:

BIGCOMMERCE STANDARD

Bigcommerce’s cheapest offering, the ‘standard’ plan, costs $29.95 a month and is more expensive than the equivalent starter plans offered by its competitors Shopify and Volusion ($9 and $15 respectively) – but BC offers a more comprehensive starter plan than either of those plans

One of the good features about Big commerce I like is that right from the start when they began they had the user in mind and has always had a very good support base with nice written tutorials and also Video tutorials to support their paying customers. They, in fact, have updated it even further and now got Bigcommerce University which puts a first-class e-commerce education at your fingertips all in one place – to help you succeed.

This section has In-depth videos hosted online store experts will teach you how to launch your store, attract shoppers, improve conversion and build loyalty. As these are on videos you can watch them and when you want according to your schedule.

Yes They have ABANDONED CART SAVER

What I really like about big commerce is the BIGCOMMERCE’S ABANDONED CART SAVER FEATURE. Bigcommerce’s abandoned cart feature – it’s one of the best out there. The tool allows you to create up to three automated emails to site visitors who go part of the way through the sales process only to leave your store without buying anything. T

This has the potential to dramatically increase your revenue with little effort – other than the ‘one-off’ time investment in setting up the automated messages – being involved.

New disruptive cloud Webhosting Company challenges the Billion dollar hosting market

January 9, 2016 by admin 2 Comments

page cloud hosting in the cloud

When I recently checked out Craig Fitzpatrick’s new page cloud website building service on Facebook I was surprised by the simplicity of this website building software and yet made aware of how versatile this new technology is. It’s amazing how you can just click and drag and drop and make a website just like that.

The Canadian start up scene is growing in leaps and bounds, just like the Australian start up scene here and this new ground breaking website building technology is just proof of this.In its initial raising page-cloud managed to get $6-million in seed financing from Canadian and U.S. investors – including Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke to get it all started up . Page cloud was also the finalist at TechCrunch’s Disrupt conference this past spring, however they have come a long way since then.

So what is page cloud?

According to their website “PageCloud is the world’s most advanced web editor, a pro tool that brings the experience of Photoshop to the Web”.

In simple words, once you register with them, you can just log into your pagecloud website in your browser and start building your website by dragging pictures, Text etc. from your desktop or  laptop onto your browser and make a website. You can also drag an existing website template and then modify it to make a new design for your website or blog.

This technology is best experienced or seen via this introductory video made by founder Craig, which is below

It’s surprising but the team at page cloud is also listening to their new customers and making changes to improve their service every day. Check out their blog to get an update on updates to their service.

Website: http://pagecloud.com/

Their Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/pagecloudapp/

Their linked in page : https://www.linkedin.com/company/pagecloud

Twitter: https://twitter.com/pagecloud

How you could benefit from this new technology ?

For People who want to be in control of their website and design it themselves or maintain it themselves this would be a good easy option. This is also an quick option for developers who don’t want to spend too much time designing new websites but want to give something good in the least possible time frame for their clients

How to get your page cloud website started?

· Purchase a membership/monthly plan with page cloud

· When you create a PageCloud site, it is automatically assigned a name and a public URL of the form: eg.  name.pagecloud.com

· Log in and create your website via drag and drop and add content.

· Point your purchased domain name to the page cloud website.

If you got a domain with — > go daddy which is my recommended domain name registrar , then you can follow their detailed domain pointing guide on their website here to point it to pagecloud.  Go daddy currently has a cheap 99 cent domain name deal going on , you can  get it here.

How does page cloud stack up against other cloud webhosting providers?

There is no doubt about the ease of use of this service, but what about the most important factor -pricing. The monthly fee for this service is priced at $24 a month for 1 site.

I really don’t like the fact that the price still stays the same even if you take a 10 website package @$24 X10 = $240 for 10 sites. We will have to wait and see if they will offer a discount for a bigger website package deal, however their website does offer discount coupons for special deals.

Their refund policy states that they don’t offer any refunds and they will inform you in most cases if they have a problem with your account and need to terminate their services with you for any specified reason.

Drag and drop website building is not really new, with popular website creation companies like www.wix.com and www.weebly.com and www.squarespace.com  who are already operating in this space, but page cloud has upped the game a bit with actually allowing you to drag n drop edit and create a website right from your browser.

These more established providers provide free trials of their service which can be a good thing to test things out. The most important bit after checking features offered  is pricing and so we will compare pricing below.

Wix Comparison

Wix offers a free trial for their service and charges $4.08 a month for their most basic “connect domain plan” which displays wix ads on your website, so this in most probably not appropriate if you are serious about your website or then starting a business. Their $8.25 Combo plan for personal use is good starter plan and you get a domain free for 1 year. Check out their updated pricing + more plans and detailed features + terms of use here.

Weebly Comparison

Weebly also offers free trial of their service, you can create unlimited pages and host your site for free. For their $8 a month starter plan, you can get a nice website and get  rid of their weebly ads on your website, get site stats and also a free bonus domain name for 1 year. Check here for updated pricing plans and more features here.

Squarespace Comparison

Squarespace offer s 14 day trial for their service. They have an $8 a month plan (billed annually) for their starter plan. They also have a monthly plan, but fees increase substantially if you take a monthly plan. They have a fully integrated ecommerce service and give you a domain free with your annual plan. Check here for updated pricing plans and more features.

Page cloud vs Weebly vs Wix vs Squarspace

So to sum it up there is a big price difference between other cloud hosting companies above which are cheaper  and page cloud, but then there is also the uniqueness of the page cloud service which justifies a little bit of a higher price, but it remains to be seen if  the $24 pricing bracket is justifiable for the unique new technology and ease of use they provide.

IMHO they possibly won’t make as much inroads into the developer market, but would possibly attract a good chunk of DIY website builders  who will certainly find this  service useful.

Blogging and taxes

August 27, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

As described in our earlier blog post, the the U.S. Federal Trade Commission released revised guidelines governing endorsements and testimonials that take effect on December 1, 2009. Among other things, these guidelines say that a blogger that endorses a product or service must disclose compensation received directly or indirectly from the seller of that product or service.

You can review the FTC press release or the full text of the FTC guidelines. If you have questions or need advice on interpreting these FTC guidelines, we encourage you to consult your own legal counsel to help you understand how these changes may affect you.
