The demise of the affiliate marketer

by Leave a Comment

Affiliate marketing has just been demoted so to speak or has got the wrong end of the regulators stick. New laws and regulations ( or comply with FTC guidelines) have just been put into place to make it more difficult for less honest affiliate marketers to “make money” by false claims and videos.

Affiliate marketers to be hit hard with new Affiliate Marketing Regulation & Policy

affiliate marketing logo

Many affiliate marketers who have flourished  and earned $$$$$$ making videos with dodgy claims  will be no more be able to do this. As with every unfortunate new regulation many honest affiliate marketers will also get hurt  and earnings affected

A few things that are not Allowed with Some Online affilaite marketing agencies :

Vendors must submit a script prior to shooting the video. Videos will not be accepted without a script pre-review.

  • Videos that portray or reference a fictionalized individual or life story, where a vendor makes false claims as part of the product pitch.
  • Videos that portray or reference the vendor him or herself, where the vendor makes false claims about his earnings and experience as part of the product pitch.
  • Videos which will not allow you to exit or pause. Expert endorsements without substantiation (for example, an endorsement from a doctor must have proof that the doctor has performed tests or evaluations performed by an actual doctor that has mastered the subject matter being described in the pitch).

Click bank being on of the popular place for many affiliate marketers has also recently updated their regulations  –> www.clickbank.com-promotional-guidelines

Amazon Dodgy link plugin “Amazon affilaite Link localiser”

by 50 Comments

Recently i  installed this link , that says it will  localize your Amazon links   so that the it updates any amazon links  on your website /blog with your amazon id  for that country so that you don’t miss out on  commissions.

DODGY/ fraud plugins for wordpress

I installed this  plugin and though i would do a check  to see how things are going . to my horor i found that  the  amazon link are pointing to someone else amazon id , which would obiviously be the plugin maker. So i was ytricked into handing over all my commisiions to the  this guy . DO NOT USE THIS PLUGIN  it is  a scam. IT will replace all you   amazon links with this id link “http://www.amazon.com/?_encoding=UTF8&tag=petewill-20” .

[ Author of this plugin has sent me a clarification message , which i have posted at bottom of post ]

check out the pic below

fraud amazon local links plugin

I clicked one of the about links http://petewilliams.info/ and also the id  link that covered mylinks with his links  was “http://www.amazon.com/?_encoding=UTF8&tag=petewill-20”

The plugin ” Amazon Affiliate Link Localizer”

This is totally sneaky and wrong, please do not download this plugin.

Clarification sent from Plugin author: Pete williams

Hi,

My name’s Pete and I wrote this plugin. It looks like there’s been a bit of a mixup here so I thought I’d try and clear it up for you.

Just to explain, the script does use my affilliate IDs, but *only* where you don’t provide your own. It will never overwrite your IDs, and so will never deprive you of any commission. This is explained on the page on my site for this script, on it’s page in the WordPress Plugin directory and again in the plugin’s readme.txt – so obviously I am not trying to scam anyone:

“DISCLOSURE
If you do not insert your own affiliate IDs the script will use mine. Hopefully this will help fund my book addiction!”

With this in mind, I’d appreciate it if you could update your post to correct the information.

Thanks

Pete

My response: I certainly had put my id in  and this was still happening when i had used this plugin , this might have been fixed since then . so you can most certainly  have a look for yourself if you interested in this plugin  and check it outfor yourself if you like.

How to achieve life’s goals

by Leave a Comment

Speech by Chetan Bhagat at Symbiosis

Don’t just have career or academic goals. Set goals to give you a balanced, successful life. I use the word balanced before successful. Balanced means ensuring your health, relationships, mental peace are all in good order.

There is no point of getting a promotion on the day of your breakup. There is no fun in driving a car if your back hurts. Shopping is not enjoyable if your mind is full of tensions.
"Life is one of those races in nursery school where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Same is with life where health and relationships are the marble. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die. …….

One thing about nurturing the spark – don’t take life seriously. Life is not meant to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up? ……

It’s ok to score low in couple of papers, goof up a few interviews, take leave from work, fall in love, have little fights with your spouse. We are people, not programmed devices………" 🙂

Are Indian affiliates marketing companies any good

by Leave a Comment

I Like to stick  with Google  ad sense to make money, but you always need to have a back up plan so its good to dabble a bit in affiliates  earnings as well. Other options like Amazon and  Click bank and other affiliates can certainly  bring in some extra money.

Moneymaking on the net is not an easy task and when the network is not paying you for your hard earn clicks and visits by people that is even more disappointing. I myself have experienced  quite a few disappointment with quite a few small marketing network affiliates.ScreenHunter_02 Sep. 11 17.52

Recently i came across a Indian Network affiliate  company  that boasts  quite a good  client base that they are promoting,  its been 2 months  now  and i still have some of their banners on my one site  and have not got nay sales or clicks , but  then i have been a bit lazy in taking them to place them in the correct spot  and then  updating the  latest ads as well.

The affiliate company is www.shoogloo.com

Here are some  of their clients that they promote , i have also noticed they have now started paying good commissions for promoting jet airways  sale .

if you already with them and have  any input on them pls feel free to leave a comment. I am still hoping that i make some money with them
