Review of JVC FULL HD video camera GZ R10 Model

December 7, 2014 by admin 8 Comments

jvc GZ r10 Review

Technology will change, but there will always be cameras – Be it as a camera or a smartphone or  even a tablet cameras are  a necessity, but if you are serious about taking photos  then you need a dedicated camera with camera functions.

People like to capture moment in their life for good memories or then just capture that sudden funny moment , but to get it right and have a good video or photo you need the right gadget. Companies therefore must provide solutions for all types of consumers.

review of jvc everio range Full hD camera

JVC’s new series of camcorders from the Everio Range consists of rugged models and was only launched recently at the biggest technology show CES 2014. It is called Everio and it is based on the “Quad Proof” idea introduced with the ADDIXION point-of-view action cams.

QUAD proof , So what is this new term ?

It means these cameras are built tough ! Quad Proof does mean that the pair is water-proof down to a depth of 16.4-feet, shock proof to drops from up to 4.9-feet, freeze proof down to temperatures of 14 degrees Fahrenheit and guess what it is also dustproof – but I don’t know why you would need that (dustproof) when I would treat it as my prized possession and keep it in a safe place.

screen of camera

pic of the open camera

The first thing that I could not find was where to connect the charger to charge the camera, but this was soon sorted when I found the adapter cable that converts the mini-usb port to connect to the charger cable. You also get a Mini USB to USB cable with the camera, so you can charge it via usb if you like.

Functions are there as standard in all cameras and there are heaps of added functions as well. I am used to smartphone touch sensitivity for pressing buttons, but cameras often don’t match the smartphone sensitivity and the JVC was no different, though it gets the job done.

ZOOM in on this HD Video Camera

The camera lens’ zooming capabilities are quite good and can be extended digitally to 60x with the Dynamic Zoom technology.

You can take a still image while recording a video which is quite handy.

The battery on this HD camera is strong enough to provide a decent 4.5 hours of full HD video recording, even in tough and harsh conditions. The bonus is that the camera also supports 3rd-party external batteries.

Price of this camera

The Everio range of JVC HD cameras are priced from $399.95 to $499.95 based on storage and different models in this range. Prices can vary a little bit from dealer to dealer.

Here are some more specs that you might like before you decide on taking out your wallet

The Good

The JVC Everio GZ-R10 is a compact, lightweight full-HD camcorder that’s water-, shock-, dust-, and freezeproof without a plastic housing around it that could make it look more bulky. It has a 40x zoom lens/60 x dynamic, is easy to operate, and has good battery life.

The Bad

The low-resolution touchscreen isn’t very sensitive.

The Bottom Line

JVC’s FULL HD camcorder is solid option for tough conditions and is Good buy in this price range.

Is online betting secure enough ?

December 3, 2014 by admin 1 Comment

Online betting is a growing market which is slowly making traditional forms of betting, such as betting shops, obsolete. The reason for this gradual take over, of the sports betting sector, is down to websites, such as www.bet365.com.au/news/en/betting and other high profile australian  betting websites continuing to add additional features to their services.

online security with betting

Whilst the original online betting services when launched,  offered a limited range of bets and often prohibited them from being placed once the games had begun, these days the betting options and facilities available are more extensive and complex. Now, these websites stream games live and allow punters to continue to adjust existing bets, and place additional ones, as the game progresses and the odds change. Moreover, the range of aspects that the user can bet on have increased substantially. Users are no longer limited to just betting on who wins or loses but can place bets on statistical performances such as goal scored, runs made and players sent off.

However, despite the rising popularity of these websites, some punters are still concerned about the safety and security of online sports betting. The stigma surrounding new internet forms, and their safety features, is not new. Many were initially sceptical about now commonly used websites such eBay and Amazon.

Online Betting, which is a relatively newer online activity, is now being put under the same scrutiny. However, these websites are equally, if not more, regulated as these other online giants. Therefore, to put the mind at ease of those considering entering the world of online sports betting, here are the main safety features of online betting.

Comparison Websites

Like any popular and profitable online activity, online sports betting now has a range of websites devoted to ranking, reviewing and rating their services. These judgements being based upon their adherence to regulations, performance and accessibility. Online gambling, in any form, has now been included within legal regulations – concerning user safety, protection of funds and fairness – similar to those imposed upon offline forms of gambling.

Websites now need to be awarded licences and to continually put themselves forward for inspection. Comparison websites exclusively deal with those websites who have been officially recognised and examined, moreover these websites will also often provide a list of sites that failed to reach this criteria. Therefore, a quick browse of one of these comparison websites is all you need to to ensure that the online establishment you chose is officiated.

Virtual Bouncers

The online gambling industry, if it be sports betting or casinos, is at the forefront of virtual security developments. The payment information, and funds, of users of these sites are placed within complex firewalls which span multiple servers to ensure that they are secure. These omniscient systems are developed by respected encoding companies such as Viaden and Famasutra and are designed to guarantee that neither cheating or technological manipulations occur. Moreover, online sports betting websites use up-to-date versions of standard online security protocols such as HTTPS sites.

These digital protections being built within the guidelines of policies, like the UK Gambling Act 2014, which assist online casinos with regulations to protect both patrons and site owners.

Staying Secure in the Mobile Gaming World

October 29, 2014 by admin Leave a Comment

If you’re a sports betting fan then you’ve probably already tested out Unibet’s iPhone betting app and know that it’s a fantastic place to ply your trade. However, aside from giving you competitive odds and instant access to a slew of live betting markets, the platform is also one of safest in the business. The new smart devices enable you to have a punt on the go, by just firing up your app on your tablet or smartphone and having a punt in minutes via your online account.

Popular sporting events like Melbourne cup , Ashes cricket series and the local  state soccer championships are gaining in popularity and so are iPhone and smartphone devices to check scores , odds and having a punt.

As the mobile betting industry has evolved, so has the security features sites have in place to protect players. Of course, when you wager your hard earned cash on the latest sporting fixture, there’s a certain amount of trepidation when it comes to safety. However, as you’d expect from any reputable operator such as Unibet, there’s nothing to worry about.

All licensed iPhone betting apps will have a host of security features in place and that means your bankroll is completely safe. In fact, the first thing you should be aware of is that any product that’s put out by a licensed operator is that it meets certain standards. In order to meet the conditions of fair play and safety that any regulatory body insists on, a mobile betting app must have full 128-bit SLL digital encryption. This layer of protection is there to ensure your data can’t be intercepted and your details stolen.

Protecting Yourself

As well as an internal layer of protection, Unibet’s mobile betting app also requires a password on start-up. Set by the user and not accessible by anyone else (including staff at Unibet), this password is the first line of defence against hackers. Not only is it required the first time you login, but it will also be needed if you time out. Because Unibet’s mobile software will detect periods of inactivity, it will automatically shut down the app to ensure you stay secure.

download apps apple store melbourne cup

The final layer of security you should be aware of when you download a mobile betting app is the verification process. Before you can withdraw any cash you’ll be asked to provide evidence of who you are. This information is then used to confirm any subsequent transactions and stop anyone else from accessing your account and stealing your cash.

Mobile sports betting is one of the fastest growing areas of the gambling world and operators across the industry are putting a lot of effort into ensuring this stays the case. If players don’t feel safe then they won’t use an app and this is the reason why the software has been made as secure as possible.

How to prevent a DDoS attack

October 19, 2014 by admin Leave a Comment

dos attacks security

http://pixabay.com/en/man-despair-problem-null-one-65049/

For many years now the internet has enabled businesses to reach a much broader audience with their products and services and ultimately boost their revenue as a result. But the internet is not without its pitfalls and dangers. One of the major problems comes from hackers and it seems that we now hear about cyber-attacks occurring on an almost weekly, if not daily basis.

Network Security Priority and attacks

However, one of the most prevalent types of cyber-attack nowadays actually doesn’t seek to steal any information or exploit security vulnerabilities. In fact, DDoS attacks, as they’re known, are designed to cause disruption, damage reputations and basically be a real nuisance to businesses who have an online presence.

A perfect example of how DDoS attacks can cripple websites can be seen in this International Business Times article from last month. The massively popular Eve Online video game was taken offline for more than 12 hours because of a focused DDoS attack on one of its server clusters.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4b/Guy_Fawkes_mask_22mai2012.jpg

But with DDoS attacks emerging as one of the biggest threats harbored by the internet today, what can you do to ensure your business is in the best possible shape to prevent one?

Know your ‘normal’ loads

How will you ever know if your business is experiencing a DDoS attack if you don’t know your ‘normal’ hardware loads? It is essential to instrument your key infrastructure, such as network switches and servers, during normal operation to record their ‘normal’ query loads. Failure to do this will leave you completely in the dark further down the line when faced with a possible DDoS attack. You won’t know if it’s just a slightly abnormal load or a potentially devastating cyber-attack.

A great way to reduce server load is by implementing an email archiving solution. This will allow all of your company’s historic emails to be relocated to a separate storage device, thus freeing up your primary server resources. Mimecast cloud storage email archiving is one such solution that will ensure your important business emails are securely archived in a cloud environment.

Secure all externally-facing hardware

With your normal operating loads recorded, it’s time to start securing all of your externally-facing business hardware. Network switches, routers and servers all need to have the latest security patches and updates installed, as well as proven security protocols implemented such as anti-virus.

Furthermore, your technical architecture team should analyze your infrastructure map to identify any potential bottlenecks and single points of failure. This is vital as it will allow you to eliminate any potential areas that could, if compromised, affect your entire business.

Brief key individuals

If a DDoS attack rears its ugly head then it’s crucial that your key IT staff is fully briefed and know what to do. Server teams, network engineers service desk managers and staff all need to know their role.

A quick response will inevitably minimise the effects of the attack and ensure that any disrupted services are brought back online as soon as possible. Just remember to allow for staff holidays and sickness by briefing various backup teams.

Planning ahead to mitigate a DDoS attack is essential for your company’s online welfare. After all, a cyber-attack can literally come completely out of the blue. This article in the Guardian last month shows how quickly a DDoS attack can be orchestrated and also emphasizes that the reasons behind them are often trivial.
